Collaged Glass Plate

By: Susan Caplan
Crafty Cruisers
Intermediate Stamping Team Designer

Supplies:
Various Rubber Stamps (Acey Deucy, Stampers Anonymous, Just For Fun,   Lucy Stamp, Art Impressions)
Staz-On Black Ink pad
Encore Metallic Gold Ink pad
Foam Brush
Perfect Paper Adhesive (matte) (PPA)
Glass plate
White tissue paper
Matte Fixative
Gildenglitz or foil flakes of choice
Various colors of acrylic paint

Instructions:

1.       Spray tissue with fixative and allow to dry.  When dry, stamp the tissue with various images using permanent ink.  Tear out images when dry.

2.       Working on the “back” of the plate, apply PPA to the areas in which you want your images.  Apply tissue stamped image over the glue, lay flat, and apply a thin layer of glue over the back.  Repeat with the remaining images, leaving a lot of blank space.

3.       Apply foil flakes randomly alongside the tissue using the PPA to sandwich the foil onto the plate.

4.       When dry, stamp surface with a crackle stamp or background stamp of choice with metallic ink.  Allow to dry.

5.       Brush on various colors of acrylic paint one color at a time with the foam brush, covering the whole plate, over images and foil.

6.       When dry, apply metallic paint over the back of the paint covering the plate completely to “finish” the back.

7.       When the metallic paint is dry apply one coat of PPA to seal.
