Candle Stamping

By: Gail Genskay
Crafty Cruisers
Intermediate Stamping Team Designer

Adding your own stamped images to a plain candle is SO simple and SO fun, that once you try it, you will want to add your own special touch to every candle in the house!

Supplies:
Hearts Sings Rubber Stamp (The Angel Company)
Palette Noir Black Ink
Impress Markers (By Tsukinkeko) in:
          Pastel Pink
          Magenta
          Hot Pink
          Green
          Yellow
          Orange
          Red
          Blue
3 1/2” X 2 ¾” White Candle
White Tissue Paper
Glue Pen (Sailor)
Glitter
Scissors
3” X 12” Piece of Waxed Paper
Embossing Gun

Directions:

1.      Stamp the image of the four snowmen singing onto your tissue paper.

2.      Color snowmen as shown.

3.      Cut your stamped image from your tissue paper fairly close to the edges.

4.      Take your stamped tissue paper and place it against the candle, then wrap the waxed paper on top of your tissue paper and also around the entire candle.
TIP:  Make sure the image and wax paper is tight against the candle.

5.      Heat up your embossing gun for 30-40 seconds until it is hot. Moving quickly, wave it over the area where the stamped image is; be sure to keep the wax paper tight. Every candle will have a different melting point, but you should see the image start to get clearer within a few seconds.

6.      Slowly peel the wax paper off the candle.

7.      Draw a glue line along the bottom of the snowmen and apply glitter.
