Flaps & Pockets
Flip Flop Flap Card

By Peggie Wilkins
Rubber Roadsters
Advanced Stamping Team Designer/Writer

It’s summer, and you will see lots of flip flops and hear them making flip, flop, flap noises.  This card does the same thing as you open the flaps by flipping and flopping.  It is a lot of fun to make and so many variations that you can do. Enjoy.

Instructions
:

1.  Fold cream colored card stock at 2 Ύ” from the left. Fold the red Bazzill card stock at 4 Ό”. Adhere the Bazzill to the folded cream cardstock so that it opens from the bottom and is on the opposite side from the fold of the cream cardstock.

2.  Stamp the swirl on the 3” side of the Wink paper and cut out along the swirl. Adhere to the red Bazzill so there is a decorative edge at the bottom with the red showing through.

3.  Stamp flip flops on a scrap of cream paper.  Color with the Prismacolor colored pencils using the light color first and then adding the dark for accent with the colors shown.  Cut the flip flops out and use the X-Acto knife to cut out between the straps and the flip flops. Punch a hole where the straps connect for the toes and add the flower and brad. Adhere to Sun-Kissed paper and then to the Iris paper.

4.  Fold the scrappers floss in half and tape to wrong side of flip flop layers.  Then adhere the layers to left side of the card leaving 1” hanging off the fold.

5.  Punch a hole in the center on the 3 ½” side of the iris paper. Attach the boot loopy brad. Wrap the scrappers floss around the back of the card and put the ends in the brad toward the center and tie a bow.

6.  On inside of the first fold, stamp small flip flop image on lower left hand corner with Noir black ink and color with Prismacolor pencils. Open second flap and stamp a different flip flop in cloud white (see opened card).
