Random Stamping
By
Mary Shoebridge
This project involves the
use of a Jumbo Tag Template, which is provided with the instructions. The
techniques and supplies are familiar, but the end results are striking. SUPPLIES: Clock Watch Faces Images
(Personal Stamp Exchange) Tea Staining Solution: INSTRUCTIONS: Refer to photo often for color and placement. 1. Cut out the Jumbo Tag template (Click for template). Fold the brown cardstock in half. Place template along top edge of paper next to fold. Leave enough paper on the bottom to cut the smaller piece of cardstock with the deckle scissors using the measurements listed in the supplies. Tear one piece of parchment the size listed above and cut out a smaller piece for the watch face. 2. Tea stain the pieces of
parchment paper. 3. Using the clock face images, stamp a background in Gold Encore Ink on the front of the brown Jumbo card. Next, create watermarks by lightly stamping a faint image in background. 4. Stamp the multiple clock face images in a random fashion on the parchment paper in the brown ink from the fluid chalk palette. Stamp the saying “Treasure the Moment” in the bottom at the right corner. Using the smaller piece of parchment paper and brown ink, stamp the clock face. Stamp the clock hands on a scrap of paper in the same brown ink and cut out. Using the clock face image, stamp in the corners. 5. Glue the clock hands to the clock face. Then glue the smaller piece of parchment to the smaller piece of brown cardstock. Cut a circle from clear acetate to duplicate the crystal glass of a watch face. Glue in place. Attach the gold photo corners and set this aside. 6. Sponge the torn edges of the large stamped parchment paper with brown ink. 7. Attach the parchment card to the Brown Jumbo Tag using the glue stick. 8. Open the card with the front on the right side. Punch the traced hole and set the gold eyelet into the punch hole. There will be only one eyelet on the card front. Attach the fibers to card. Enjoy your Jumbo Tag Card and experiment with more vintage images.
