Faux Bleach

By Karen Gibson
Rubber Roadsters
Advanced Stamping Team Designer

Supplies:
Stamp set; select a set that is not overly detailed
Two or Three Classic dye based re-inkers(Stampin’ UP!)
Paint tray with wells
Water Foam brush and/or wide paint brush
Confetti White cardstock
VersaMark Ink (Tsukineko)
Clear embossing powder (Stampin’ UP!)
Heat Tool (Stampin’ UP!)
Iron (set at medium high with no steam)
Two sheets of newspaper

Instructions:

1. Ink stamp in VersaMark and stamp on Confetti white card stock.

2. Add embossing powder to the stamp image, tap off excess, and use heat tool to melt the powder.

3. Drop two drops of re-inker into each paint well and add ˝ to 1 teaspoon of water. When you add more water the re-inker color will be diluted more.

4. Use a foam brush for larger areas and paint brush to cover smaller areas. Dip into the re-inker water mixture and swipe over the embossed image going out side the lines. Start with your lightest color first, then move to the next darkest color. Continue until the image and surrounding cardstock are covered.

5. Place the cardstock stamped side up between two pieces of newspaper. Use the iron and glide over the newspaper just until you see the image showing through the newspaper. The iron is melting the embossing powder away.

6. Mount and layer your finished piece as desired.
