Metallic Foil Over Adhesive

By: Susan Caplan
Crafty Cruisers
Intermediate Stamping Team Designer

Supplies:
Stamp (Impression Obsession)
Heat Tool (Grainger)
Inks (Brilliance Black and Lime)
Color Pencils (Prisma)
Duo Adhesive (US Artquest)
Watercolor brush
Metallic Foil (Foils)
Silver Brads
Decorative Paper (Basic Grey)
Punches, slot and ticket (Stampin' Up), 1/16 hole
Scissors
Prima Flowers
Rhinestone
Glue (Aleen’s tacky glue)
Ribbon
Cuttlebug Embossing Plate
Double sided tape.

Directions:

1.  Stamp image with black ink.  Color in image using color pencils.

2.  Apply Duo Adhesive sparingly with small round paintbrush randomly over image in which you want metallic accents.  Clean brush immediately.  Allow glue to dry 5 minutes or so (glue will be tacky to touch when ready).

3.  Cut a piece of decorative foil about 2"x2" square.  Place metallic side up, over dried (tacky) glue and rub as you would with rub-ons.  Repeat until all adhesive is covered.

4.  Punch two corners with ticket punch, and layer onto a 3"x3" square piece of black cardstock.

5.  Punch opposite corners with hole punch to put brads through.

6.  Color brads with green Brilliance pad.  Heat with heat tool to set.  Be careful not to burn fingers!

7.  Adhere brads to card through already punched holes.

8.  With slot punch, punch out two slots from decorative paper.  Adhere to card as shown.  Set a side.

9.  Cut a 4" x 2¾" piece of decorative paper and layer onto a slighter larger black panel.  Set aside.

10. Cut a 5½" x 4¼" piece of red cardstock and place in a Cuttlebug embossing folder and put through machine to emboss.  Layer onto a slightly larger front panel of a folded card. (4½" x 5¾")

11. Adhere decorative paper panel onto card front, then  ballerina dress panel ontop of that.

12. Adhere decorative ribbon to bottom of card.

13. Glue two flowers together, then glue rhinestone in the center, and adhere all over the ribbon.

14. Cut out two flowers from the ribbon and glue onto the punched decorative paper on the top panel.
