Easy Elegance with Glitter Glue

Cheryl Hurttgam
Rubber Roadsters
Advanced Stamping Team Designer

Adding just a small amount of glitter to any card can make it really pop! Glitter glue in any color will give pizzazz to a boring card. I use mostly “crystal”, which will bring out any color that it is used over. (ex: put over red it reflects red, etc.)

Stamp card in monochromatic colors - when done add your glitter glues to highlighted areas or images. Don't over do!! Too much can take it from elegant to gaudy. Using crystal on plain white cardstock to dot a background gives just enough glitz to turn it into a gorgeous gift.

Supplies:

Butterfly Stamp (Impression Obsession)
Fern Leaf (Impression Obsession)
Seashell Pink (Ranger)
Stickles (Ranger)
A7 Card Cut in textured pink card stock (The Paper Hollow)
6” x 4” smooth off white card stock
Pop-dots (Darice)
Corner Rounder (Fiskers)
Sponge wedge (Aegean Sponge Co)

Instructions:

1.  Fold pink card stock in half to create an A7 size card (5” x 7”).

2.  Using the corner rounder, trim each corner of the off-white card stock.

3.  Using a sponge wedge, sponge the edges of the white with pink ink.

4.  Stamp the butterfly three times going in different directions, also in pink ink.

5.  Stamp the leaf around the all the edges of the white in pink.

6.  Pop-dot the white layer to the pink layer.

7.  Add glitter glue to the wings and body of the butterflies and let dry.
