Supply List:
Instructions: 1. Using the black ink, stamp the cat and kettle images on white card stock 4 times each. Sprinkle with embossing powder, remove the excess powder and melt with the heat gun. 2. Color the images in with the watercolor pencils and blend with the waterbrush. Allow to dry and then neatly trim the images out. Cut the hats off of two of the cat images and glue them, colored side out, on the back side of the remaining cat images, trimming to fit. 3. Place glue dots on the front of one of the colored kettle images, adhere fiber scraps to the dots at the mouth of the kettle and finish by layering another kettle on top. Repeat with the two remaining kettle images. 4. To create the basket, trace around the bottle cap on the black construction paper and cut out the circle. Adhere this circle to the top of the cap, which will be the bottom of the basket, with the double sided tape. 5. Cut a strip of construction paper 2" wide by 11" long. Beginning 1" from the edge, fold the paper, creating 5 pleats 1/4" deep. Two inches from the last fold, create 5 additional 1/4" pleats. The basket sides are created using this strip of paper. Before adhering the strip to the cap, make a test run by starting with the 1" smooth area of paper, hold this point in place and wrap the strip around the lid. Adjust the pleats and smooth areas so that each area covers the lid in an evenly spaced manner. Wrap the lid edge with the double sided tape and adhere the strip. At the point where the strip began, remove the excess paper allowing for a 1/4" overlap and glue the end down. The finished basket should have the smooth sides opposite each other as well as the pleated areas being opposite of each other. 6. The handle is made by laying the ribbon back side up and attaching double sided tape. Cut a piece of wire the half the length of the ribbon and lay it along the center of the ribbon lengthwise, pressing it into the adhesive. Fold the remaining length of ribbon over, matching up the edges. Bend the wired ribbon into a "U" shape and attach on the inside of the basket with double sided tape. 7. Adhere the cat and kettle images onto the smooth sides of the baskets with liquid glue, allow to dry and fill with goodies.
