Instructions:

1.  Working in a well ventilated area, place the paint can and handle on newspapers, along with the dowel rods and clothes pins. Paint all the elements with the 18K gold spray paint. Allow to dry and rotate until all sides are painted.

2.  While waiting for the can to dry, cut the 2 sheets of 12" x 12" striped printed paper into 6" x 12" strips.  Connect the two pieces together to create 2 - 6" x 24" strips. Wrap one strip around the top of the can butting it against the rim and cutting out holes where the handle connects. Repeat around the bottom of the can with the remaining strip. Cut the red card stock into 2 - 6" x 12" strips and connect to create another long strip. Wrap around the center of the can overlapping the striped pieces at the center and covering up any exposed can.

3.  To create the paper "quilt," cut 8" x 8" bases from the two pieces of white paper. Cut the paper scraps into 3" x 3", 2" x 2", 1" x 2" and 1" x 3" pieces. Lay the base paper on a flat surface. Piece and adhere the cut paper scraps onto the white in a random manner referring to photo. After you are satisfied with your quilt, ink up the rubber images with Versafine Black ink inside the squares.

4.  Cut narrow strips of the O’so Sticky tape and place a strip wherever two pieces of paper meet. Once all the "seams" are covered with the tape, remove the red liner from tape and press gold flakes into the tape. Attach the quilts to the front and back of the can.

5.  Cut the dowel rods into 8" and 12" pieces with the steak knife. Attach the clothes pins with the glue and allow to dry.

6.  Cut about 1/2" off one end of the floral foam and place the can on one of the short ends. Fill around the can with newspapers to brace the foam. Arrange the display sticks in the floral foam and add the curling ribbon at the mouth of the can to cover the filling.
