Penny Yoder

I have been stamping for 35 years, which comes with the territory of being an elementary school teacher for that long, also! A career that I dearly loved. I started making my own cards about 15 years ago. I'm so glad to see how far stamping has come and how it is complimenting the scrapbooking craft.
I am a life long Christian and have been crafting and sewing for about 45 yrs. For about 6 years I taught my students how to cross stitch, and one year we entered a quilt in the Oregon State Fair. They won a 'Best of Show' ribbon, and, needless to say, I got to keep the quilt.  Ü  What a privilege!
I am a native Oregonian, living in Portland. I have two grown children, James and Ali-Marie, who is the mom of Maddie, our 5 year old granddaughter.
I married John, my very own mailman in May 2003. We enjoy many of the same things. (he is an artist in his own right) We retired in June 2003 and are part of that group that wonders how we got things done while we were working.
I've been a demonstrator with The Angel Company for almost three years and I am a member of a few online groups, where I have learned so much from all the creative artists out there.
If I were to list any addictions, it would be paper, stamps, and writing instruments of all kinds (must come with being a calligrapher), along with an occasional Dairy Queen Heath Blizzard. I also enjoy gardening, music, and being 'mom' to our four-legged "child", Chloe, 1, our Chocolate Lab.

I am a native Californian.  I live in the Pasadena area known for the Rose Parade, Rose Bowl, and Cal Tech. I am married to Herb who is a professional photographer.  We have one grown son Alan, 33 years old and married to Amber. They live in Portland, Oregon.
I have been involved with The Angel Co. (TAC) for the last 10 years. Before that I enjoyed taking a wide variety of arts and crafts classes and did some teaching along the way.  I have studied art history, graphic design, and the paper arts including papermaking, stamping and now paper crafting using scrapbook materials.  I love to learn new techniques and look forward to exploring the possibilities of creating with paper crafting materials.  I have always taken pictures and although my photos can not compare to Herb’s beautiful work, I will share them in my scrapbooking projects.  It is opening up a whole new world of artistic possibilities and I am eager to share them on Rubber Road Adventures.
My other hobbies and interests are reading and traveling.  We also love the beach and the mountains.  My favorite travel destination is Oregon.  I have dreams of visiting Scotland and other countries in Europe.  I would love to take pictures of those famous places I have heard about.  The Canadian Rockies would also be a place I would love to travel to some day.
