The Essential Glue Pad- Stamping with Glue

By: Cheryl Hurttgam

Advanced Stamping Team Designer

Supplies:
The Essential Glue Pad (Tsukineko)
Perfect Pearls (Mica Powder by Ranger)
Mop Brush (Royal Brush Co.)
Stamps (Impression Obsession)
Gold Metallic Marker (Marvy)
A7 purple card base (7”x10”)
4 ½” x 6 ½” white card stock
6 15/16” x 9 15/16 white text weight liner
Pop dots (Darice)

Scotch 3M double stick tape

The Glue Pad is a great base for all your powders, glitter, leafing and chalks.  The glue pad comes dry and needs to be inked with the glue solution before use.  The packaging recommends that you use about ¼ of the bottle.  I recommend using about 1/3 of the bottle.  The glue pad should be wet and sticky.  Squirt the glue onto the pad and rub it in with the tip of the bottle.   You will get several applications from this first inking as long as you don’t leave the ink pad open or allow it to dry out.  Keep pad from drying out by using the plastic cover provided and re-wet with glue solution as needed.

Instructions
:

1.      Refer to photo and stamp images onto white cardstock layer.

2.      Dip brush into the mica powder and dust onto image where glue was stamped.  Continue until all images are covered.

3.      Run the gold marker along each edge of the layer and allow it to dry.

4.      Adhere several pop dots to the back so that it will not droop in the center and position onto the A7 purple card base.   Add a text liner to the inside of card for message using Scotch 3M double stick tape.
