Holiday Tray By
Cindy Seabright Its time to get the cookie cutters out and back up fresh batches of cookies homemade with love! Christmas smiles and holiday scents come from the kitchen. Serve them up on this cheery Holiday Tray. Make sure that you have sealed this piece well and only wipe off the crumbs with a damp clothe when you find your tray empty! Supplies:
Faith, Hope, Love Stamp
Sets (TAC) Instructions 1. Lightly sand tray with fine sandpaper and use tack cloth to pick up fine residue. 2. Apply two coats of gesso and sand lightly between coats. Wipe tray again with tack cloth. 3. Divide tray evenly into three sections using light pencil or chalk marks if necessary. Paint top with Aleens True Red and Accent white using a soft #3 or #4 flat brush. Refer to photo for color placement. 4. Ink up the Winter Smiles stamp set with Noir Black ink pad and stamp directly to tray in a pleasing manner. 5. Using your Memory Markers, color in the areas of the stamped images. You will want to leave the snowman Antique White. Outline again with a black marker to re-emphasize the design lines. 6. Using your snowflake stamps, stamp the images with Clear Embossing pad individually and sprinkle sparkle and silver embossing powders respectively. Shake off any extra and return to the jar. Melt the embossing powders with the heat tool. 7. Using your Faith, Hope, and Love stamps, stamp the images with Clear Embossing pad. Sprinkle on the Silver embossing powder, shake off excess, and return to the jar. Melt the embossing powders with the heat tool. 8. Randomly highlight areas with Stickles. 9. With a ruler, carefully use your gold leafing pen to frame the center area and let dry thoroughly. 10. Seal with 7-8 light coats of Krylon, letting it dry completely between coats. 11. Set all food on a plate and not directly the tray. Acrylic paint and ink are non-toxic products, but have not been determined food safe. Happy Holidays! Happy Snacking!!!!
