Instructions:

Note: Use line stamps that can be colored in and not bold or solid stamps that are stamped with complete ink coverage.

1. Stamp Kevin on white card stock with black ink.  Let it dry completely.
2. Color the image in with markers in lighter colors.  Keep your strokes all going in one direction with the markers.
3. Use colored pencils to highlight the shaded areas of the image.  A good way to tell which areas to shade is to look for the dotted area of the stamp such as where the design has depth at creases, parts that are farther away from the front, and along the edges.  Use a shade of the same color as the marker, but a little darker or a few common colors for this would be purples or indigo blue.  Use a light hand with this and not a lot of coloring.
4. Then, go back and highlight the lighter areas of the image with the white or yellow color. This is very little coloring just accenting the area.  Some examples are where the light would be reflecting off the image, high spots in the image, or parts that are closer to the front. Imagine a sun at one side of the image and think of what reflections the sun would cast on the image to get the right places.
5. Another way to get depth in your image is to lightly brush around the image with a light gray marker.  This makes the image stand out from the background.
6. You can, also, highlight parts of the image with a light hand with glitter glue.
7. Fold the Tropical blue card stock in half.
8. Position the two 2 inch squares under the under left and lower right hand side of your white card stock with Kevin stamped on it.  Glue in place.
9. Stamp the words at the bottom left hand corner.
