Sunflower Archival Dye Reinker (TAC)
Cognac Palette Ink Reinker ( TAC)

Staz~On Timber Brown Ink Pad & Reinker (Tsukineko)
Black fine tip marker (Tombow ~ TAC)
Straight edge ruler
Dark brown Ink Pad
12” Paper trimmer with swing arm (Fiskars)
Brayer  (Speed Ball)
Mono adhesive (Tombow)
Bone folder (TAC)
Old jar cover (quite flat-spaghetti jar cover works well)
1/8” hole punch (Fiskars) or jumbo push pin and mouse pad

Card #1 Instructions:

1. Cut medium brown card stock to 5 ½” x 8 ½ “and fold in half  to make a quarter fold card 5 ½” x 4Ό”.

 2. Crease the edge with bone folder to give it a crisp edge and set aside

 3. Cut the ivory ultra smooth cardstock to measure  5” x 4”.

 4. Place 3-4 drops of the sunflower ink in the jar cover.  Dip the tooth brush in the ink getting the edge of the bristles well inked. Brush the inked tooth brush vertically across the ultra smooth ivory card stock (there will still be a lot of ivory showing).

  5. Add 3-4 drops of Teddy bear brown ink into the jar cover (if you need more sunflower add a couple of drops).  Mix well and repeat step #4 with toothbrush.  Add 3-4 drops of ancient Rome ink to the other two colors mixes and brush vertically

across card stock until the desired concentration is achieved.  There should still be some ivory showing through, which will produce a distressed look.

 6. With the ruler, line up the straight edge vertically and draw lines with black fine tip marker from top to bottom with random widths to resemble wooden boards. Now that you have your boards defined, place black dots on the boards with the marker to resemble nails. Next, give it that old weathered wood look by randomly drawing jagged lines that resemble cracks across the boards.

7. Punch holes in the four corners with the Fiskars 1/8 inch hole punch (or use a mega push pin and mouse pad) Add round mini brads inserting one in each corner.

8. Cut magic mesh (dry wall tape) to fit vertically across the wood grain.  Ink up brayer in the Timber brown Staz~On ink and ink up the dry wall tape to match card.  Attach to the card about Ύ way up from the bottom using MonoAdhesive.

9. Ink up moose image with Timber Brown Staz~On ink pad or Ancient Rome ink pad and stamp on Formica Chip and tan confetti card stock both. Ink up sentiment image with the same ink and stamp on tan cardstock.

10. Attach the moose stamped onto the tan card stock with MonoAdhesive and layer onto the light brown card stock. cut with trimmer to leave a desirable boarder around it.

11. Using MonoAdhesive, mount the sentiment at the top of card and mount the Formica Chip and moose picture onto the lower half of the card.

Card #2 Instructions:

Follow all the same instructions as before to achieve the faux wood grain.  This time use Cognac reinker; Teddy Bear Brown reinker  and Staz~On Olive Green reinker.

1. Cut dark brown card stock 5 ½” x 11 ½ “; fold in half and crease with bone folder.

2. Cut ivory card stock 5”x4”.

3. Create the faux wood grain background onto the ivory card stock.

4. Punch holes in all four corners.

      5.  Attach square mini brads.

6. Color magic mesh with the Cognac ink.

7. Cut 2 pieces of dark brown cardstock 1 ½” x 4” and 1 Ό” x 1” and run through corrugators.

8. Mount to card using MonoAdhesive.

9. Stamp sentiment on Confetti Tan card stock using Dark Brown ink and mount onto a smaller piece of corrugated card using MonoAdhesive.

10. Stamp moose on Formica Chip sample with Dark brown ink.

11. Apply crystal lacquer to the Formica Chip and let dry.

12. Wrap olive green fiber around hole of Formica Chip.

13. Attach to card at an angle over the corrugated Dark Brown Card stock.

14. Attach sentiment to the top of the card using MonoAdhesive.

Enjoy the rustic style of weathered wood!
