Instructions

1.  Cut your cardstock and background papers to the following dimensions (Do NOT cut the textured cardstock until it has been aged as instructed below):

        Birch Cardstock:  2 3/8 " x 8" = Title
                                6 1/8" x 8" = Photo Mat
                                2 1/4" x 5" = Accent Block
                                6" x 4 1/5" = Envelope

        Medium Brown Cardstock:    5 7/8" x 7 3/4" = Photo Mat
                                                  2" x 4 3/4" = Accent Block

        Dark Brown Scrap of Cardstock:  1/2" x 4 3/4" = Accent Block
                                                    1 5/8" x 2 1/8" = Mini-Tag

        Background Paper    1 3/4" x 7" = Title
                                    1 3/8" x 1 7/8" = Mini-Tag
                                    4 1/2" x 5 1/4" = Accent Block
                                    1 3/4" x 3 1/2" = Envelope Journaling Insert

        Vellum    1 3/8" x 6 1/4" = Title
                     1 5/8" x 3 1/4" = Envelope Journaling Insert

2.  Cut your twine to the following lengths(amount at that size):

       (2)  @ 6 1/4"
       (3)  @ 3"
       (1)  @ 14"

3.  Trim your photo to 4 7/8" x 6 7/8".

4.  Trim your ribbon to 4 1/2".

5.  Spray the walnut ink randomly onto the textured paper and the birch cardstock for Envelope.  After spraying, use a paper towel to blot and swipe the ink.  You can spray heavily in one spot and then rotate the paper side to side, and around while holding the paper, allowing the ink to just run to different areas.  Then blot and swipe any leftover ink.  You can, also, use your heat gun to blow the ink around the paper. Continue this process until you like the look of the paper.  Heat set or allow to air dry.

6.  Ink up the tag stamp with the Cowboy Boots ink.  Stamp three tags on the textured paper.  Cut out.

7.  Using the envelope template, on the birch cardstock you sprayed with walnut ink, trace omitting the top flap.  Cut out.

8.  Make the Mini-Tag using the pieces of the background paper and dark brown cardstock.  Use the Envelope Template as a pattern for the top of the tag (smaller end). Tear about 1/8" off the bottom of each piece of the tag.

9.  Ink up the "imagine" and "believe" stamps with Cowboy Boots ink.  Randomly stamp on the envelope and the background paper piece of the Mini-Tag.

10.  Ink up "love" in Cowboy Boots ink and stamp inside one of the Fun Tags.

11.  Repeat step 10 with the "laugh" and "hope" stamps on separate tags.

12.  Sponge the edges of the Fun Tags, Envelope, Title Birch Cardstock and Background Paper, Accent Background Paper and Mini-Tag Background Paper with the Cowboy Boots ink and a makeup sponge.  To do this: dab the sponge a few times onto the ink pad.  Then brush the sponge across the edges of the paper using a top to bottom stroke.  Re-ink the sponge as needed to achieve your desired look.

13.  Assemble the envelope.

14.  Make the insert for the envelope using the vellum and background paper attached with brads for your  journaling (if you use the computer for journaling print the journaling on the vellum before attaching the brads!)

15.  Attach eyelets to the tags (put both the background paper and the cardstock together for the Mini-Tag).

16.  Punch two holes in edge of title cardstock with the McGill punch.

17.  Using a piece of the 6 1/4" twine, cut it into two unequal pieces.   Tie a knot to tie the two pieces together.  Repeat with a second piece of 6 1/4" twine.  Attach these to the Title cardstock and secure behind the Title and the back of the 12 x 12 layout cardstock.

18.  Wrap the 14" piece of twine around the envelope three times and tie together on the front.

19.  Attach three eyelets (using the eyelet punch & setter, protecting work surface with the acrylic block & craft mat) to the strip of Dark Brown cardstock for the Accent Block.   Tie the tags through the eyelets with the pieces of 3" twine.

20.  Tie the ribbon to the Mini-Tag.

21.  Assemble your coordinating pieces (the Title Cardstock + Title Background Paper + Vellum, etc.) to your page.  Add your picture.  Add the spiral clip to the Title.  Don't forget the journaling!

Now you have a great page to pass on for generations to come!
