Domino Pins

By Wanda Troupe
Hot Rod Scrampers
Advanced Scramping Team Designer

I’ve been playing with beads a lot lately. Combining beads with a stamped domino was relatively easy, and I love how it turned out!

Supplies:

•  Butterfly Stamp (TAC)
•  Alcohol Inks (Ranger)
       - Cranberry
       - Lettuce
       - Butterscotch
•  Blending Solution (Ranger)
•  Noir Black Palette Hybrid inkpad (Stewart Superior)
•  Gold Leafing Pen (Krylon)
•  Domino
•  Wooden block with Velcro
•  Scrap of felt
•  Pin Back (with charm loops)
•  Beads (Miscellaneous)
•  E6000 Glue
•  Basic Beading supplies (chain nose pliers, head pins, eye pins, jump rings)

Instructions:

1.                Apply a few drops of each color alcohol ink to piece of scrap felt attached to wooden block. Pat repeatedly on domino to create background. Apply a few drops of blending solution to felt right over the alcohol inks and pat onto domino to blend.

2.                Stamp butterfly on domino using black ink; let dry. Apply gold edging using leafing pen.

3.                String beads as desired and attach to charm loops on pin back.
(Note: The pins I have only had 3 charm loops and they aren’t exactly centered.   As a result, I hung a jump ring at the far end to make and additional line of beads.  Refer to photo).

4.                Glue pin to back of domino and let dry. Wear proudly!
