Marker Thumping Card

By Jackie Bache
Crafty Cruisers

Supplies:

  Funky Squares Background Stamp (TAC)
Soaring to New Heights Stamps (TAC)
Memories Ink Pad – Chartreuse (Stewart Superior)
Impress Marker – Cerulean Blue (Tsukineko)
  Impress Marker – Teal (Tsukineko)
  Impress Marker – Ultramarine (Tsukineko)
  Glossy Cardstock – Cut to 5 3/8” x 3 7/8” and 2 7/8” x 2”
  Green Cardstock – Cut to 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” and 2 3/8” x 3 1/8” and (2) ½” x 4 1/8”
  Yellow Cardstock – Cut 5 ½” x 4” and 2 ¼” x 3”
  Clear Embossing Powder (Tsukineko)
  Yellow Eyelets
  Eyelet Setter
  Small Hammer
  Heat Gun
  Mono Adhesive (Tombow)

Instructions:

1.    Use the Chartreuse Ink Pad to cover the Funky Squares Background Stamp.

2.    Remove the caps of each marker.

3.    Beginning with the lightest color and using a motion as if you were playing a drum, tap the brushy end on top of the inked Funky Squares Stamp.

4.    Repeat with the remaining colors, adding as many dots of colors as you prefer.

5.    Breathe or “huff” on the stamp to moisten the ink colors.

6.    Stamp the Funky Squares Stamp on glossy cardstock.  Allow extra time for it to dry.

7.    Repeat the above process using the woman image from the Soaring to New Heights stamp set.  Instead of allowing it to air dry, immediately cover the image with clear embossing powder and melt with a heat tool.

8.    Rub the edges of the woman image along the Chartreuse Ink Pad.

9.    Add three yellow eyelets on each of two ½” strips of green cardstock using the eyelet setter and small hammer.  Refer to photo for placement.

10.    Assemble on layers of cardstock as shown using Mono Adhesive to the back side.
