Instructions

Faux Aging:

1.                Pour the lemon juice into the container.

2.                Pick up the lemon juice onto the paintbrush, brush onto white cardstock VERY well (cover it all).  The more you apply the darker it will be.

3.                Heat lemon juice paper, it will actually burn onto the cardstock and change colors. After it changes color move the tool a bit and heat the other sections. Heat some more than others to have lighter and darker areas.

Tip: You can splatter a bit here and there on the already heated cardstock and reheat to get even darker areas and more designs. If it isn't dark enough add more lemon juice and reheat.

The Card:

1.                Ink Giraffe stamp using Cowboy Boots and stamp onto 1-3/4” x 4” strip of aged cardstock. Ink Giraffe saying using Cowboy Boots and stamp onto 2-1/2” x 1-1/4” scrap of aged card stock.

2.                Layer Giraffe image onto 2-1/2” x 4-1/4” brown cardstock and saying onto 2-3/4”x1-1/2” brown cardstock. Lay to the side.

3.                Begin running Macramι cord across black card front. Adhere one side and tie a knot in the opposite end so that the knot lays on the front of the card and adhere the other end to the back of the card.

4.                Adhere ** the Giraffe image over the cording at an angle. Adhere the saying at the bottom right corner slightly overlapping the Giraffe image.

5.                Adhere card front to card.

A Simply Elegant card is completed!

**Tip** Using a lot of adhesive is recommended for this project because the aged cardstock has a tendency to want to curl up and come off.
