Instructions:

To make the background, I used the stipple brush and Walnut Stain Distressing Ink.  I stippled onto my background cardstock and put it aside.

I painted the green cardstock mat with a foam brush and the Making Memories yellow acrylic paint.  Once the paint was dry, I stamped the cardstock using the Club Scrap DIY wood mounted stamp and Walnut Stain ink and set it aside.  I then stamped the burnt umber mat with the same stamp and ink color.  Once all the ink was dry, I colored around the green mat and the burnt umber mat with the metallic copper color cutter marker.  I then attached the both mats to my page and placed the photo on the burnt umber mat.

To make the stamped octagon embellishments, I used the Quickutz handtool and Quickutz octagon die to cut shapes out of the light burnt umber cardstock.  I attached my shapes to Club Scrap white shimmery cardstock and then cut around the octagons making a white mat for each shape.  I attached them to my page and then used the Brilliance graphite black ink and the butterfly stamp from the TAC stamp set butterfly beginnings to stamp butterflies onto my octagon mats and background paper.  Stamping the layers this way, leaves a very vibrant image on your top layer and the image diminishes on subsequent layers.

The final step in my layout was to cut the diecut letters out of the Club Scrap white shimmery paper using the Quickutz handtool and mini Paige alphabet.  They were attached to the layout with the Dry Bond Repositionable Adhesive in a pleasing manner.
