Bronze, Gold & Clear Encaustic Wax (Encausticart)

Beeswax pellets (found in the
candle-making section of craft stores)
-
Sewing Pattern (Club Stamp)
-
White Cardstock (TAC)
-
Glue Pot (Nicole)
-
Disposable foam brushes
-
Disposable latex gloves
CAUTION: Melted
beeswax is very hot and sticky – Use extreme care!
Instructions
-
Melt beeswax pellets in the glue pot.
-
Preheat the Clover Mini Iron.
-
Stamp images on white cardstock with Jet
Black StazOn Ink.
-
Tear the sewing pattern into strips.
-
Wearing latex gloves, use the disposable
foam brush to coat the sewing pattern strips with beeswax and place randomly
on picture frame.
-
Coat the stamped images with beeswax and
position accordingly on picture frame.
-
Allow to cool completely before handling.
-
Melt clear Encaustic Wax on the tip of the
iron and use it to smooth any edges that aren’t flush with the surface of the
frame.
-
Melt bronze and gold Encaustic Wax and
apply to surface of frame as well as the inside and outside edges of the
frame.
